Warq — Offline PDF & Document Scanner · TestIQ LLC
Effective 10 July 2026 · Last updated 10 July 2026

THE SHORT VERSION

  • Your documents stay on your phone. Everything you scan, the text we extract (OCR), and every PDF you create is processed and stored on your device only. We never upload, read, or store them.
  • No account, no sign-in. We don't ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the app.
  • Ads pay for the free version. Google AdMob shows ads and, to do that, uses your device's Advertising ID. You can reset or limit it any time (see §4). Buy Warq Pro once and ads — and this data collection — go away.

1. Who we are

This app, Warq ("the app", "we", "us"), is published by TestIQ LLC. This policy explains what information the app does and does not collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Warq Android application distributed on Google Play and to this website.

If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].

2. Your documents never leave your device

Warq is an offline-first scanner. The following are created and kept entirely on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party by the app:

  • Photos you capture or import, and the scanned pages produced from them;
  • The PDFs, images, folders, tags, and file names you create;
  • Text extracted by on-device OCR (Optical Character Recognition), including Arabic, Urdu and English;
  • Passwords you set to protect a PDF, and any signatures you draw.

OCR and all image processing run locally on your phone. Warq has no cloud storage and no document sync. When you use "Share" or "Save to device", the file goes only where you send it (another app, your gallery, or your Downloads folder).

Camera and photo access are used solely to let you scan and import documents. Images are not sent anywhere by the app.

3. Information collected automatically (ads & diagnostics)

The free version of Warq includes Google AdMob to display advertising, and it relies on Google Play services. Through these Google SDKs, the following limited data may be collected by Google from your device:

DataWhyCollected by
Advertising ID (a resettable device identifier)To show and measure ads, limit ad frequency, and fight fraudGoogle AdMob
Approximate/coarse signals & ad-interaction data (e.g. ad views/taps, general device & app info, IP-derived coarse region)To serve and measure advertisingGoogle AdMob
Crash logs & basic diagnosticsTo keep the app stable and fix errorsGoogle Play services

We (TestIQ LLC) do not ourselves collect, store, or receive your documents or personal profile. We may see aggregated, anonymous statistics from Google (for example, total ad impressions or crash counts) that do not identify you.

Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and, for advertising, how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

4. Permissions & your choices

PermissionPurposeOptional?

Controlling ad tracking

  • Reset or delete your Advertising ID: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads ("Reset advertising ID" or "Delete advertising ID").
  • Opt out of personalized ads: the same Ads settings screen lets you turn off ad personalization; you'll still see ads, but non-personalized ones.
  • Remove ads entirely: purchase Warq Pro — the banner and its data collection stop for good.

5. Purchases

If you buy Warq Pro (a one-time, non-subscription purchase), the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see your card or payment details — we only receive from Google a confirmation that your account owns the purchase, so we can unlock Pro. Refunds and billing are managed through Google Play.

6. Third-party services

Warq uses these Google services, each with its own privacy terms:

All OCR, edge detection and image enhancement models run on-device; no document content is sent to these or any other service.

7. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not build advertising or marketing profiles about you. The only automated data collection is the limited, Google-operated advertising and diagnostics described in §3, which exists to keep the free version free.

8. Children

Warq is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided such information, contact us and we will address it.

9. Security & retention

Because your documents live only on your device, their security is tied to your device's own protections (screen lock, encryption, the optional in-app lock). When you delete a document in Warq, it is removed from the app's storage. Uninstalling the app removes its on-device data. We do not retain copies because we never receive them.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the GCC/PDPL regions, the EEA/UK, and other jurisdictions), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Since Warq stores your content only on your device and we hold essentially no personal data about you, you can exercise most of these rights directly:

  • Access / delete your content: it's all in the app on your phone — view or delete it there, or uninstall the app.
  • Advertising data: reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of personalization as described in §4.
  • Requests to us: email [email protected] and we'll respond as required by applicable law.

11. International processing

Warq itself processes your documents locally on your device wherever you are. Any advertising and diagnostics data handled by Google may be processed on Google's servers in various countries under Google's own privacy framework and safeguards.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves or as laws change. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date, and — where required — surfaced in the app or on Google Play. Continued use of Warq after an update means you accept the revised policy.
